“I had a positive experience with one issue. I was picked up at my hotel in Medan by two friendly locals in a Honda Brio. The guys had great humor and taste in music. After 3hrs, we met the guide at Bukit Lawang. 20 minute into our hike, we saw an orangutan with its baby. This was worth every minute of the long drive! After an hour of watching it climb trees and getting close to us, we moved to a gazebo for lunch. The same orangutan came up and snatched our food! Chasing at us, we dropped the food and it left us alone. Tbh, this was my favorite…”

“I was picked up directly from the airport and taken to Bukit Lawang. Here I was greeted in a friendly manner and taken to a nice accommodation. The pick-up was on time in the morning. After just 20 minutes in the jungle we saw an orangutan mother with her child. We also encountered a few more monkeys as we continued on.”
